The Psalm for today is Psalm 35.
Verses 13 and 14 particularly caught my attention.
13 Yet when they were ill, I put on sackcloth
and humbled myself with fasting.
When my prayers returned to me unanswered,
14 I went about mourning
as though for my friend or brother.
I bowed my head in grief
as though weeping for my mother.
A sackcloth is a garment made of coarse sacking; formerly worn as an indication of remorse. I think that God wants to tell us that we should love our enemies, despite all they have done, and when they are ill, we will fast for them.
God Bless All of you!
