An Exam Encouragement.

Today, Holy Spirit gave me a word to encourage you.

Deuteronomy 28:13
The LORD will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the LORD your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom.

This is the promise:
God wants to bless us to be the top of our class, for His own glory.

To receive the promise, Holy Spirit reminded me of this year's theme verse from Isaiah 58:
13 "If you keep your feet from breaking the Sabbath
and from doing as you please on my holy day,
if you call the Sabbath a delight
and the LORD's holy day honorable,
and if you honor it by not going your own way
and not doing as you please or speaking idle words,

14 then you will find your joy in the LORD,
and I will cause you to ride on the heights of the land
and to feast on the inheritance of your father Jacob.
"
The mouth of the LORD has spoken.

The Lord wants us to go through the stressful exam period,
1) not with anxiety, but having the joy of the Lord
2) not having being at the tail, but being blessed to ride at the heights of your class/cohort, for His own glory
3) not receiving results that you studied for, but enjoying the rich abundance of blessings that you have not toiled for. (ie. BETTER results than what you expected)

How can we go through the exams with confidence?
1) Let's keep our INTIMACY with God - Keep our QT

"If you keep your feet from breaking the Sabbath"
"if you call the Sabbath a delight and the LORD's holy day honorable"

2) Let's keep our INTERDEPENDENCE on each other - Keep our cell group/service meetings regular, support our tribe study group if you can

"if you honor it by not going your own way"

Hebrews 10:25 says
"Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching."

There is power in unity.

3) Let's INTEGRATE our needs with our duty as a Christian - Keep reaching out to friends/classmates through studies and exam prayer blessings

"not doing as you please or speaking idle words"

Instead of hiding ourselves in a cave, let us shine forth to be a blessing to our classmates.
You need to study, you need to pray. They need to study, they need encouragements.

Why not study with them, or invite them to our study group, AND pray for them before exams, just like what we are doing to bless you with prayers before every paper?
